Red Wing.. They have tons of styles and are fitted for the best support. I'd go to a supplier of them and have a few fitted, and pick the best fit.

I have worn Red Wing brand boots for many many years. I like high tops for the ankle support they provide. They are pricey, but I find that they are comfortable and last a long time. One bit of advice, if you frequently work on asphalt shingle roofs, you should buy a cheap pair of throwaway boots just for working on roofs. You will wear holes in the leather uppers long before you wear through the soles. It doesn't make sense to me to throw away an expensive pair of boots because the uppers are shot.

Good luck with your choice.

Smith brand, best to look for work boots in a hunting/sports store (not Sports Authority or Modells) but a real hunting/sports/construction wear store. My husband has been a builder for 40 years and only buys Smith boots. Steel toe...........

For construction I recommend Iron Age. They have working boots that have built-in steel toes in the front so if something heavy accidently drops on your toe, you won't get hurt. They are comfortable too, I own 2 myself. Other than that, I think Timberland work boots are very comfortable and very durable too.

Generic steel-toed work boots from Wal Mart will cost you less, and they will last a long time. I would go generic for work boots, and use the money you make for other things!
