I want to get the hand because latter i want wings and the out line of the wings will be words of a poem i wrote for him. i already have 2 other tattoos (my virgo sign and chinese caracters that say love is pain) so i think it will be a good and meaningfull addition to my body!

Go to a tattoo parlor they should have books full of ideas and past work the artist has done.

Go to your closest Barnes & Noble. They will have Tattoo magazines that you can look through and buy if you find something good. There's also books on tattoos there.... ask the customer service desk. I've found this to be a great "idea generator" for both genders.

Do NOT go into a tattoo parlor and just look at the "clipart" on the walls. Get something "uniquely you."

If you know someone with good tattoos, ask them for a suggestion of where to go. The talented tattoo artist himself/herself will be able to take ANY idea you have and hand-draw custom sample tattoos on paper for you. This is personalized service and will likely result in someone unique and, most importantly, something you'll love since you'll have it forever.

Finally, look through people's own online photos of their tattoos. If they took a photo of it and decided to share it with the world, they probably like it a lot!

You might find this odd but I have 15 tattoos. that is not the odd part, but I got all my ideas from books on asian art. My sister however likes to watch Inked or Miami Ink and steal other peoples ideas.

try and think of a design that you created yourself. there is nothing wose than to show off a tatoo only to find that someone else has the same thing in another place.

You could probably try to draw it yourself.
Search on the internet or go to some places and see what they have.
