I'd like to think they helped, yes.

I took them for 6 months of trying to get pregnant (I'm 36 - was 35 when we conceived), and am still taking them now even 5 months after our daughter was born.

I hate to give them up, because my night vision improved, my nails are much stronger, and I felt/feel so much better than before I started taking them.

Also, make sure you take Expecta Lipil! Lots of DHA/ARA... It is great for baby once you do conceive!

The purpose of prenatal vitamins is *not* to help you conceive - they are to help you get your body healthy and make sure you have the vitamins and minerals your developing baby needs.

Its great to take vitamins before you get pregnant - regular adult multivitamins will work. Make sure your chosen brand has enough folic acid to prevent spinal cord defects in the baby (this is the #1 reason to take the vitamins.

The only think you need to get pregnant is have unprotected sex on your fertile days - no vitamins required! (And ask your husband to wear boxers instead of briefs - and no hot baths for him- to support sperm cell production).

I'm sure you've already stopped drinking/ drugs, and you eat right, exercise, and do all that good stuff for your body.

Good luck!

My friend said to take them before hand but I didn't. After two months I was pregnant. Don't put yourselves on a schedule do it naturally when the urges come. It helps if you both climax at the same time. Good luck and I hope for the best for you both.

They didn't help me. My doctor suggested not having sex every day, but once a week or a month a week after your period has ended. This will ensure that he will have a lot of sperm and 1 week after your period you are ripe and ready. That's how I had both my girls. (14 & 9). See if you have sex too often, there is less sperm built up. But if he waits a week or two, it is built up so there will be more and it will shoot farther.
