You should read them all! I've only started with the movies, but I own all but 2 or 3 of his books. If I had to pick 3 though: 1. Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas 2. Kingdom of Fear 3. Fear and Loathing on the Campaign Trail

try www.alibris.com

here's what I found:

http://makeashorterlink.com/?D61A425CD <- here it is. signed. it's £7k though

http://makeashorterlink.com/?V24A265CD <-- unsigned. a mere $2,300

There are many other copies of the first edition on there. First do a search on used copies. Then tell it you want to list highest price first, that will give you the first editions etc. rather than the regular used copies. Cheapest was about $1,000 I think, in poor condition.

http://makeashorterlink.com/?Y28A115CD <- This is the first *paperback* edition, available on eBay. Bidding hasn't started yet. I don't think eBay is really that great for books.

Tray Ebay or Amazon. They always have a better range of books than a library.

Hunter S Thompson's house.
All authors are egotists and show offs so I bet he'll have loads of first editions lying around for people to notice and flatter him about them.
