default icons r fine like My comp and recycle bin i have 256 mb ram celeron 550 mhz..and same config or worse for 7 yrs..this prob is recent.

all commands in all icons suddenly appear after 15 20 mins..without fail.

for all u guys who replied..thanx a lot But for the benefit of all users..i must tell u how i finally got to the base of my problem...i had been using 2 HDDs which had diff rpm ratings...that was causing the probs...now have 2 HDDs WITH THE SAME RPM
the wolrd is easy and beautiful again. THANX again.

i agree with yio 55 ...also do you regualry defrag and clean up your hard drive ? also use a programme like ccleaner ( free ) ...which will clean the registry and other links which can slow a computer up .......also check that you havent picked up and spyware/malware .....

You need to upgrade your computer...faster CPU and more RAM. That's probably why it is taking so long. Also, check your hard drive space...if it is low, that's another big reason.
