Can she really tone down her perky school-girlish persona?

No! I watched her for the first time the other night. How unprofessional. She was sitting on the anchor desk with her legs crossed. They should bring back Bob Shieffer. I know he is old but at least he was professional. Or better still Connie Chung now that jealous Dan (the Liberal) Rather is gone.

Katie Couric, who has sometimes been described as "the affable Eva Braun of morning television" in the past, is indeed a perfect fit for CBS Evening News, and the perfect successor for Dan "false, but accurate" Rather. Not in a good way, but yes, she is perfect for the job!

No, I do not think she is the perfect fit. I liked it where she was before in her old job. I think she's in it for the money.

No, a better choice would have been Robin Meade of CNN.
