More depressing is thinking about the numbers of people there are that don't do anything rewarding with the time they DO have!
Why sit around feeling sorry for yourself and dreading the minutes ticking away when you can be out in the world appreciating the beauty around you and trying to make a change for the better in your life or in someone elses?
If you want to truly appreciate the time you have, go volunteer at an aids baby clinic or a nursing home and help out those with less time than you.

hmmm....depress? I don't know about it being depressing. Have I thought about this, sure.
Being human can be hard sometimes. Humans are one of the only, not the only, but one of the only animals on the planet who are aware of their mortality.
Okay, so our bodies are walking time bombs (death being the bomb). I don't see to many lions or tigers walking around bummed out because their biological clock is about to explode.
Being aware of your own mortality, gives you an opportunity to do something! Be something! Experience life, every bit of it! Take not even the small things for granted. (those are the most important)
Humans though cursed at times with a large brain (actually having a large brain is more depressing to me, than knowing my mortality), we are also blessed with this brain. We have great imagination potential, good eye sight (we can see the colors of the world) and can we can enjoy our food and drink!
I hope that will help you cheer up a bit.
Take Care

Actually, you don't. The first 15 years it's all about growing and cell renewal. Aging starts after 15.

There are two schools of thought on this.
1) You just started "dying"
2) You just started "living"
It all depends if you are a glass full or glass empty type person....Pessimist or optimist.
Sure ultimately we all die....But you can't die unless you lived! So its all a matter of perspective.

Maybe it's just me, but as opposed to being depressed about it, I think that you should look at this as a reason to cram all the living you can into the limited time you have on this earth.....

Obviously your glass is half empty. Does it make you ecstatic that you started living the second you were born.
