Ya might want to tone it down a little. Put yourself in you spouses position. WOuld you want him talking to your parents that way. They raised him...it is only natural that he want to help them. SHow some respect for the elderly. I'm not living in your conditions, so I really can't give sound advice. The fact that you are asking tells me you feel a little guilty, but are annoyed.

Well, since your the daughter in law and not son in law, sure. I think it's just fine what you said. You're family, right? Speak your mind and don't hold it in. It'll kill ya that way. What I mean about being the daughter in law is that it's better for someone of the same sex to say things like this....otherwise, it may come across as sexist...so, I don't see a problem. Let her have it...good for you.

I think you are being truthful and blunt. Sometimes the truth hurts! If she is being lazy and wants to be waited on hand and foot, then she should be told to get up! I don't blame you for being upset and blowing up. i sure would! sometimes a person needs to have the truth thrown in their face before anything changes.

Big mouth Yes. Now insert LEFT FOOT. That was mean. Lay things out on the table and talk like adults. You'll need to take your foot out of your mouth before you do. :)

I assume that your in-laws are living with you. You need to discuss this with your husband and give them a date that they need to find another place to live.......and stick to it. Your approach was wrong. Give them a date to leave and then say no more. COme that date and they are not gone, habe your husband escort them out and change the locks. Don't argue and stand your ground!

Is there a reason she needs to be waited on hand and foot? If it's because she is fat/obese she might need to go on a diet (get up and exercise another words get up and do it yourself btch), but then again if it's a physical problem remember; you're going to get old and decreped some day yourself and might need someone to wait on you "hand-n-foot". think about that.

I think your husband will let you know that answer and perhaps a bit more...
I always say - we all get old if we live long enough, and all we can hope for is that there will be someone then to care for US.
What goes around comes around

Well, it soulds like you said just what you feel. and that's okay, because there is never anything wrong with telling the truth. If she is really exactly like that then yes, it was ok. You don't have a big mouth.

There is nothing wrong with speaking your mind but it works best if it is done in a more tactful way then that. You see results a lot faster by being nice about it then by ranting and raving.

While I think you have a big mouth, I could see myself in your situation. When you see someone being taken advantage of, you want to see some kind of change. You are living with them? Move out.
