I live in Canada, Ontario to be exact and im not getting an abortion but im wondering how far along you can be and still legally get an abortion. My boyfriends mom keeps trying to quilt me into it and I want to tell her I cant, she already knows I won't but if im past the time I can tell her that too. I always thought it was 3 months. Can someone please help me?

1st term and 2nd term abortions are performed differently and are available through 12 weeks and 24 weeks, respectively.
I really admire your decision to not have an abortion. While I do believe the right to choose is an important freedom, I also believe keeping a baby is the corageous and right thing to do. Continue to stand your ground and not let anyone try to push or persuade you. Congratulations on your brave and moral choice and best of luck to you.
Women like you are a role model for other women who are dealing with an unplanned pregnancy.

For the time being, frustrated U.S. legislators can blame their troubles on an activist Supreme Court. But what’s our excuse? Since 1991, when the last effort died in the Senate, Canada has had no abortion law—a shameful status that distinguishes us from every other nation in the free world. Fetal viability can begin after 23 weeks of gestation. At 37 weeks, doctors consider a pregnancy full-term. Yet by the lights of Canadian federal law, it is equally legal to kill a fetus at 10, 23, 37 or 40 weeks. Doctors are even permitted to remove part of a viable fetus from a woman before extinguishing it—a process opaquely referred to as “intact dilation and extraction.”
Also, answers.com and wikipedia say that Canada is one of the few countries not to have any abortion law

OK I am glad you re not getting an abortion but you should really figure out a nice way to tell you're boyfriends mother to butt out. Why would anyone want someone to kill their unborn grandchild. How old are you? Does she think you're too young or what? I would just tell her that I wasn't going to do it and that I had made up my mind and she cant say anything to change that. Don't be rude to her just tell her that you love you're baby and you don't want to kill it. Who cares what the legal time it is to get an abortion its still wrong before or after the time its legal and you're mother in law should know that. Just because something is legal doesn't always make it right you know.

I believe the legal limit in the US is 24 weeks. But they prefer you do it before your 3rd trimester. Don't let the lady talk you into doing something you don't want to do. You are the one that has to really live with it not her!
