I am going to guess that you are in your first trimester/no later than 20 weeks pregnant, and possibly having morning/all-day sickness and/or heartburn. That's when I have had that taste and had other friends experience the same. I suspect (although I have no medical research to back this up) that can be a Ph imbalance in our systems at that point in time (too acidic, I think). [Just now I started wondering if it could have to do with that extra acid coming in contact with dental fillings...hmmmm....] If you can find it, chew gum that has baking soda in it. If you have heartburn, avoid acidic foods. Otherwise, take heart knowing that it probably won't last the whole pregnancy, just like so many other symptoms. And then you'll have a precious baby in your arms and all the agony will be worth it! :)

I had that for a while and doctor told me it was the prenatal vitamins, whenever you first start taking them one of the vitamins cause the taste but the more you advance in the pregnancy the better it gets, I had it onl for a month or so and it just went away.

I had an awful taste in my mouth too for the firstmonth or so...
Listerine worked. Altoids really work, and so do the kinds of breathmints that say they are good for 3 hours...

I have had it constantly throughout my last 3 pregnancies. The only think that I found that works is Altoids, but even then it is only temporary. The good news is that it went away when I had my babies.

OMG, I had that too and it drove me CRAZY! It's completely normal. I just ate Altoids and brushed my teeth a little longer. It's annoying, but it'll go away, I promise! :-)
