I don't know, but I will be there tonight to see the beginning of the end for the Bosox. Either way, Red Sox nation will be quiet by next week.
And this years MVP (#2) will get to play a few more weeks than Papi, and maybe have a few more post season heroics put into the archives.

With the Yankee's on a roll and with Schill and Papelbon out I dont think there is a way that the yankee's will not win 3 wins in the series of 4. If you saw the Boston vs Baltimore series it didnt even look like Boston was playing or even cared. There spirts just died with the 5 game sweep earlier and they decided to call it a day and lie down and die rather than man up and play it out and try for a wild card.
Now as for MVP
Ortiz is a DH. Also he's too focused on his own numbers and honestly I would put him right now as the #3 option
I love Jeter hope he gets the MVP and believe he will
His main competition is going to be from Dye who has lit it up the entire season and if his team gets into the playoff's it will be because of him.

The Red Sox fans could care less if they clinch the division or not. I don't know anybody in Boston that's actually going to watch the games. We turned to the Patriots long time ago.
Infact, I hope the Yankees clinch just to get it over with.

The Yankees will ride the Red Sox like 40 miles of bad road. They will beat them like an old rug. The Yankees will clinch the division in front of all those incredible Boston losers called fans. The Red Sox are now completing the second season of their second curse. Cheer up Boston fans, just 84 more years to go!!

It's not a matter if Boston comes to play, it's if they will even have the players. Ramirez is probably done for the season so that seriously thins out the Boston lineup and gives the Yankees no reason whatsoever to pitch to Ortiz. All of this adds up to yet another pennant to the 26 time world champions, owners of the best record in the AL.

I think the Yankees clinch, b/c Boston cant spoil. Plus if you can win 5 straight in Boston when you were still in it how can you win 4 in the Bronx when your flat out. Although i think J. Veritek is back isnt he and he is their back bone. I still think Yankees get 3 of 4

I think the Yankees will split the weekend...and win it on Monday or Tuesday against Toronto.
They will clinch the division...that is pretty much a solid lock. (knock on wood) I just don't think they will do it this weekend.

The Yankees will win the divisioin that is no brainer, Boston does not have any pitching support.
Now, whether they will show up, I mean the Red Sox, this weekend or not is up in the air. They are OK one day and look horrible the next.

Sadly, winning the division doesn't mean anything these days since so many of the most recent years the Wild Card team has gone on to win the World Series. Also, I don't think NOT showing up is an option :)
