If you're both clean and you are using birth control, he probably doesn't need to wear a condom. However, there is still a slight chance of pregnancy while using the pill. And the choice to use a condom is between you and your boyfriend. If that's what makes YOU more comfortable, you should insist on it. If I was the guy, I'd get a little cranky about using condoms all the time in this situation, though.

First, the pill is not 100 % effective against an unplanned pregnancy. Second, have you both been checked for gonorrhea, chlamydia, genital warts, herpes and the other million things that can be transmitted via sexual contact? Third, hate to say it but what if he is unfaithful once with a bar ho and you end up with herpes for life? However, with all of that said, if you have been tested and are 100 % monogamous, then you don't have to use a condom, it is just the safer choice and that's all it is a choice.

Well, the pill isn't 100% effect, and furthermore people's usage of the pill isn't 100% consistent.
Also, has the male ever slept with another female? 95% of cervical cancer is actually an STD related to HPV. Males may have intercourse with females who have the hpv cells, and males will almost never show signs of this specific kind (because i believe they act as more of a carrier) and then they spread it very easily to other females. i mean, 95% of cervical cancer, heck. and there are a lot of females out there with cervical cancer.
So, are you both actually clean..? have they tested him for this specifically?
Just some thoughts ^_~

My first child is a pill baby, with the pill taken 100 percent correctly. Second if your ever on any kind of antibiotics the pill effectivness goes down. Woman forget this doctors forget to remeind woman of this why chance it. If your in the practice of using one all the time then you won't foget to do it if you are on an antibiotic.

It depends on how serious the relationship is, do you and him want to get married or have kids together, in case you happen to get pregnant you need to be prepared for what will happen incase the pill doesn't work.
