I think the Wii is the most "kid friendly" system out of the 3 next gen platforms. Plus it will be the best on parents wallets as far as the price of the system being 250 and games not going over 50 each. This can't be said for the PS3 or XB360.

Nintendo intend the Wii to be for everybody, hence the name - "we".
Since the launch of the DS Nintendo have been trying to reach a larger audience of gamers including more female and older players who may never have considered video games as being for them. Hence such games as Nintendogs and Brain Training.

nintendo has always been geared towards kids or teenagers. They never really have been focused on the "adult" market with violent games or what have you. playstation and XBOX took that market and ran with it. nintendo, you'll notice, has mostly their main stock of games i.e. mario, zelda, metroid etc, but none like GTA or Halo or any of those other mature games. that's their market and they tend to stick with it. Only the TRUE diehards of the gaming world can really appreciate nintendos games. mostly they will just license popular games already in season to add to their stock pile. they rarely come out with any realy good games.

nintendo has ALWAYS made lots of kids games.
However, in the past few releases, there has been in general very little at release. So, its possible, if anyone would it would be them, but, it might have the same problem.
