just be honest and say what you just said, "I don't like you the way you like me. However, I do like you as a person and prefer to be friends..." It's unavoidable, unless you actually want to pretend to like them, that you would hurt them.

I feel that we should always treat others the way we would want to be treated. If someone was to let you down. Think of how you would want it done to you. (Well, of course we wouldn't want it to happen to us)
Make a space between you, use your caller ID and avoid calls, when you get caught on the phone with them. Make excuses to get off. The less time you spend. The larger the gap in the friendship will become. If they catch on, then try to be as honest and up front as possible. If they are still hurt or angry. It's not your responsibility. Good luck

You can't. Don't fool yourself in thinking there is a way to do it. The best way is just to be honest to the person. The sooner the better, so they can move on with their life.

is some way shape or form when some one rejects you it always sucks but the best thing is to tell them before they get anymore feelings

Do what I do tell them that they are great and you think there
a good friend but your intrested in your school work not relationships.

sit with them.....talk to them......and make them understand that u cant like them jus coz they like u a lot..... :)
depends on the person n what sorta relationship they want.....
if its jus friendship then u can jus stop with a hi n bye.....
if they wanna get into a relationship then u must talk it out with them......tell them that u cant pretend to like them.....
