It is a perception in peoples mind. Jews are good people , their religion is clean and guides them in their daily life. It was in ancient times that they were money lenders and like any money lender they would go to any length to recover it.(Shake spears Shylock) is an example.This hatred for business community of other religions is equally true. one should view the persecution and the distress through which the entire community has gone from ages, from the time of Pharaohs in Egypt.They have given us the best of scientists and inventions which are benefiting the entire world. Is it not time for us to pay them back with kindness and compassion, I feel it is.

I think people dislike the Jews because of what they did to Jesus. But if it weren't for what they did to Jesus we wouldn't be saved from our sins. I don't judge a person by what they're whole group or race has done in the past. I try to look at a person as an individual and love them for who they are and not what others of their kind have done. Maybe that's what everyone should do and quit condemning or judging people. It's not our job it's God's.

On a purely academic level..
I think it is because jews tend to group together & have a certain separation from whatever culture they are living in.
As a survival measure they have had to rely on "portable wealth"
such as professional knowledge rather than propetry based wealth since they were often prohibited from owning land.
They were envied by people who were unable to or not willing to study & blamed for being successful.
Their brand of chauvinism cost them dearly in Nazi Germany.
One thing jews do not do is try to ram their beliefs down other peoples throats.

Scapegoatism is the main reason, but any minority group that screams "We are different, We are different, We are Different!!!" and then when you say, "OK, you're different" and then sues you for descrimination has to expect some problems.
If someone can tell what your religion is by how you are dressed, you are too religious. This applies to ALL religions.

Any traditionally helpless minority will be used as a scapegoat and to garner a following among the ignorant and worthless. They need to feel superior to somebody!
Ditto for gays too. People can be told their sinners and they'll take it as long as they're also told "At least you're not as bad as those gays!". Makes them feel all holy ya know.
