I had a problem with my internet netzero. I tried to install a newer version than the one that was on my pc. I kept getting error 691-"member ID/Password invalid. So i just installed the new version over the old one without uninstalling the old one then installing the new one and now i don't have that problem--(so far!) Will it hurt my pc when you install a new version of isp before uninstalling the old one?

It depends how the installer is set up. It might have just upgraded the old software...if so you are fine. If not, it installed it somewhere else and you have 2 versions on your computer...it shouldn't really cause a problem, but it just takes up space.

Shouldn't - newer versions of the same application typically recognize old components and deal with them effectively.

Certainly, starting from scratch is always an option to try later though.

No, but it may not fix the issue.

Uninstall the old stuff and then install the new stuff!
