They lost in 1965 to the Dodgers, but won in 1987 and 1991 against the Cardinals and Braves. In both '87 and '91, the home team won every game, so the Twins were 8-0 at home while going 0-6 on the road - trivial, but still pretty amazing.

before they were the twins, they were the senators they won it in 1924, lost the world series in 1925 and also lost in 1933. After they arrived in Minnesota in 1961 they appeared in the 1965 world series, losing to the dodgers.
