I recently baught this movie. I loved it, even though I had never read the comic books. The ending was great, and suprised me. I don't think our government is going to go that extreme or has EVER gone that extreme as it was in V. In V, the government was a corrupted dictatorship. And as I recall, how the men got into power was used as the same ploys as Hitler did in his reign of time. (As did Palpatine did in Star Wars.)
The country of Germany granted Hitler emergency powers to help settle their "problem". They gave him sooo much power that...in the end, they couldn't take it back. In V, I'll have to watch it again, but I believe that runs similiar to it. Do I think America would ever be run by a dictator? Nah. Too many smart people in America...And if it did happen, you'd see eminems MOSH video come to life.

I loved the movie, I watched it twice and I think its a great movie to buy. When I did watch it, I never thought about that scenario. I think about it now though. It did make me think about non democratic countries, and how the people must be treated there. The government should fear the people.

I liked the movie but i thought it was so similar to the novel 1984. It was a really good movie but I suggest everyone read 1984

I loved this film! Although the creator did not. Alan Moore, comic writer, refused to have his credits shown in the film. You should get the comic, it's a 10 issues series, Great! it's hard to get in the market, but you can find it in PDF with programs like Ares, Limeware, Kazaa, etc.

no our government should not be a little like this could you imagine having to be home every night at a specific time or no being able to have things that promote different religions that is just asinine that you would think that maybe our government should be a little more like this.
