No. I am a cardiology nurse and I have been working in this setting for the past 41/2 years. I am a bit "burnt out" right now by all the politics that goes on in this setting. (It's not just about patient care, there are alot of problems that are non-medical that you have to "fix"). So right now I am going back to school to find my niche and do this only part-time and casual.

Forget the money "for now" !
Get a job that you enjoy doing and you will become good at it.
When you become good you become marketable and that's where the money follows as long as you are flexible as to what geographic location you need to move to.
Second part- I am a V.P of Manufacturing for a large company. No formal education although my employer doesn't really know it.
I started as tradesman- (toolmaker) worked my way through operations and moved all over the country finding better jobs better experience and better money. With a great wife as support it has given me great satisfaction in my career

I am pretty satisfied with my current job. I am an AP in a small office. I started this job 2 months ago. It matches my expectation for a good job that my last job could not give.
Now maybe you can tell us why you asked this question and if you like your job. Thanks.
