I think they're both just a feeling of peacefulness - of knowing that, even if problems in our lives are very difficult and stressful, we know we can get through them - and feel happiness and contentment even while all hell seems to be breaking loose.

That's one of the most important things I've learned as I've gotten older. I used to think I had to achieve something, or some other important event had to happen before I could be happy. I also thought there were certain things in my life I didn't think I could be happy without. Now, I've learned that my happiness doesn't have to depend on external things. No outside person or thing can give me what I don't first give myself.
