Hello, my problem is this, I have endometriosis which causes severe UNPREDICTABLE pain in my abdomen, pain so bad it is hindering me from getting a job. I cant predict when I get attacks, they just happen. I cant take pain meds because they dont work on me. My husband is the only one working and we are slowly running out of money, I need some ideas on what I can do to earn some money that is safe for my condition. Any ideas??

You need to go see a doctor. Endometriosis is dangerous, and it needs surgery is possible. If you keep holding on to it, I'm afraid you may end up having bleeding and lose a great amount of blood. And if that happens you'll need blood transfusions in hospital which needs you to be hospitalised. Bottom line is, go to a public hospital which does not require insurances if you're running short of money. I'm sure treatment cost is much cheaper if compared to privatised hospitals. Go seek treatment before it is too late. Severe abdominal pain marks the severity of your condition. Best is to act now. Hope this helps.

You can turn most things into a home business, think about what you enjoy doing and see if there could be an opportunity for making some money there. You wouldn't need much to start up, some space, a telephone and maybe a computer and you'd be at home so you wouldn't have to worry about where you are in case the pain starts.

Also I heard there is an operation to get rid of endometriosis (or improve it), it's minimally invasive (apparently they put a small tube through your skin and us a laser to remove the scarred tissue). I think you have to spend a couple of days in bed but compared to the pain of suffering endometriosis it's bearable. Check with your doctor, there might be a solution, if he doesn't help, check with other doctors, a second opinion never hurts. Good luck!

Well first get an office job or something. They should be understanding to your pain and let you take off when needed. Also keep a heating pad with you and use it on your abd. See your gastro doc or your primary care doc and get some medication and hve the surgery. There are pain meds that will help. Even though you say they don't. You just haven't found the right one yet. They might not take all the pain away but every little bit helps

Before being worried about your job I think you need to be more worried about your health. Your condition needs immediate attention. You've been ignoring it for much too long now!
I think you should go and see a doctor. In many cases of endometriosis, surgery is possible. And in cases where surgery isn't, then certain drugs can help prevent the attacks.
When you correct your primary problem you'll be able to get a good job and keep it.
Best of Luck.

My wife had this. She did the treatments by having the lapscopic surgery. You shoudl consider this. Don't do Lupron, it will mess you up for life. Find a good Physician that will allow you to use natural remdies. My wife found a Chiropractor that used muscle strentght testing and whole body therepy. Sounds kooky but it has been 8 yrs now pain free. You can get a hystorectomy to cure it some.
whatever you do do nto worry about medical bills. Pay a min on them and they can't do anything. They might complain bitterly but so long as you are paying on it don't worry.
Perhaps you can get into consignemtn sales. Ebaying is a good idea.

well first off, if you have a condition that prevent you from being able to work, than you are eligiable for disability benifits, which would help. However if you have too much pride for that (which you really shouldnt cause thats what its there for after all) than you could try several of the work from home opprotunites. Some are scams but there are many that are ligit. Checking on the Better business Berrue website would help determine if they are legit or not.

I can't stress this enough get to a doctor quick, have him diagnose you properly, then take the diagnosis to medicare, and to your local social disability they will help you, If u are denied the get a lawyer and try again, most lawyers will do this probono because if found that the SD wrongfully denied you then the government is responsible for his fees. Then Get Treatment, and if you don't want kids the best thing I can recommend is a full hysterectomy, My mother had it so bad it had spread to her vital organs and was slow killing her which it may be doing to you, once you are able to work again you can cancel your SD until you need it again.

I don't have this condition, thank God, but I have read alot about it and hear other womens stories...Is there anyway you can work from home so you set your own hours and have your own privacy?? You could possibly sell things on Ebay...my aunt made an average of $300-$350 a week picking up all kinds of things from yardsales and thrift shops and selling them there. It's really just like being your own boss...I can't really think of any other suggestions...sorry you're dealing with this and good luck to you!!

I'd have the condition corrected first before you go more in debt, and then consintrate on helping your husband out finacially, also, it's probably putting a strain on your marriage too.
