That when people talk about issues involving parties they are often completely biased. Example?

ALL DEMOCRATS/LIBERALS/DEMONCRATS DO THIS!
or
ALL CONSERVATIVES/REPUBLICANS/NEOCONS DO THIS!

Seriously, what happened to the kinda people that knew that a party doesn't make the people, the people make the party. The people are then made up of individuals with their own individual views on everything. Not all liberals are for pro-choice on abortion. Not all conservatives are against gay rights.

Both the left and the right have people that generalize like that. Not all of them, of course, but some of them.

What're your views on this generalization on this site? Do you think it takes place in the real world too? Is this a recent development, has it grown in recent years, or has it always been like this?

I completely agree. People, especially on this site, are generalizing and finger pointing simply because they are uneducated and unaware of the real issues and it is much easier to insult a whole group than address the issue at hand.

I agree sunshine. This world is completely biased...cant we all just accept each other for who we are and respect one another completely? We can give opinions and say our views with out being ugly or vulgar. Why do we continue on this way? All conservatives are this...all liberals are that....Geeze!!! Cant we all just take a moment to see how wrong we are? The intensity of the politics extreme biases has increased over the years...its sad, isn't it?

Some have no real arguement, so the alternative is mindless bullshit. Quite franly, I could care less about someone unless they could argue real facts. Like I've said before, "Nut up, or shut up", either you're going to be a man (or a woman) and stand up for your reasons, or you'll be another Hillary Clinton, Al Gore, even Jim W impersonation, because you lack the testicular fortitude to take the heat for your morals, be it what they are.

YEAHHHHH!!!!!! FINALLY. Look I voted Clinton but I know he is a whore mongering bafoon, just like him better than Bush Sr. and Bush Jr.

Would have voted GW instead of Gore (if i still live in the US or planned to move back).

I would have abstained from Gore/Kerry.

I am mostly liberal but I'm not SHEEP!!! I have different feelings for different issues and some issues I am willing to let go of if the candidate is for the issues I find VERY IMPORTANT!!!

The party system is like the race card, just another way to divide Americans instead of bringing them together as ONE NATION UNDER GOD, INDIVISIBLE WITH LIBERTY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL!!!!!!!

agreed.

I think it's just internet trolling...looking more for reactions than actual intelligent discussion.
