Ironic humor is the ticket. Self deprecating humor is good. For instance: "So this is what an award looks like. I've seen from afar all those my colleagues have received over and over and over but I've never been so close to one. Could this be the start of a pattern?" Just relax and let it flow naturally. Do not memorize. Remember, as the speaker you are in charge. You get points for just being up there.
