She can then deftly and calmly suggest to her husband to not use so many Effing Exclamation Marks!
It'd be her job, y'know.
A personal campaign, in fact.

It really depends on what state you live in. Mostly in the south couples that are not legally married are called common law couples. But up north, you have to actually do the blood testing; walk down that isle; promise the words; just do the entire ceremony in order to get those benefits. That means if something happens to either one of the couples in the north you'll get everything according to the will. In the south you don't necessary have to have a will. All you have to do is live with that individual for a certain length of time and if something should happen you are considered the next of kin and you automatically will receive all benefits (insurance). However, if there is a will, of course the insurance companies have to abide by it. The only way either north or south that you don't receive anything is if there is a will stipulating it.

Inheritance for herself and her children if her man dies. The right to be with him in a hospital. That right can be take away by his family if they're not married. Insurance and health benefits at work, etc. etc. Only a stupid woman woman would stay with a man she's not married to. He could walk out in a moment's notice and not have to give her a cent. It happens all the time.

Well, let's see...... along a "moral" Victorian line she can conceive children who would be "legitimate" meaning that they would bear their father's last name and be legal heirs to his holdings. OK, so that is an outdated primas. Today the benefits of both are equal. The only difference that I can see would be rather or not a female is willing to listen to the older females in her family ask her when she was getting married on and on at nasuam

A woman gets someone she can always count on. A date anytime she needs one. Someone to always be there to help pick up the pieces, someone to share every joy and sorrow with, someone to help her pay half the bills, a father for her children if she chooses to have them, a best friend, someone who keeps the bed warm in the winter, and mow the lawn in the summer.
There are alot of benefits to marriage honey, but only if you find the right guy!

Ok I think you mean if a woman can never get a divorce.
If you found the right one and are in a country where divorce is NOT an option you have made your marriage that much more successful.
If you found a terrible man you have made a poor choice and are doomed for the rest of your life until death because you part.
Gluck!
