I am looking at purchasing an Apple iBook G3. It is loaded and at a really good price (used of course). I just want to know if familiar applications are easily transferrable between Mac and PC (wor docs, excel, music files from like real player or WMP etc). I know MAC's a great reputation but I want to be sure it will be compatable with my home and office PC.
Thanks

I should think there is a program which is similar on mac, which handles the same kind of documents. If there isn't, you should be able to use open office (www.openoffice.org , or something similar).

You Should Just Get The "Dual OS" Mac, I Don't Know If They Make iBook "Dual's", But As Far As DeskTop, Yea. Also They Other Down Side About Owning A Mac Is That They Arent A Lot Of Programs For It And I Know That You Have Programs On You Computer That You Luv And Will Not Be Able To Use It On Your Mac. To Look More Into, Just Do A Quick Search, Dual Operating System Mac/Apple

Theres a word for mac but you have to pay it, well, in the eyes of the law if its not already installed.
Music files will work with itunes.
Macs are orgainzed very logically and you shouldnt have a problem in that reguard, you have to throw out all your window illogic notions.
I really dont know what mac users use for spread sheets.
It is a transition. I made it about 3 years ago. It was i decided too much trouble to switch over all my files. but im happy i made it.

The look and feel are pretty much the same. Once inside the programs, you'd quickly get used to them. Similar to whenever you update your programs, a function or two might be in different places.

Mac are a great tool for graphical applications, and for schooling. But there are not too many programs and software for it, so before you get one, do your homework, check if its going to do what you need for, is there are programs that you need that is available, will this work with my business operation and its versatile for my needs.
