Just wait a few weeks and it will pass. Don't try to make them go in if they are afrid. let them read a book or whatever. It's not a discipline problem. after awhile it will wear off and they will forget about it and want to play in the water.

well i would try my best to help them in any sort of way but is like once something real bad happens u going to e scared for it to happen again even though the possibilities are very short, example I'm afraid to go to the beach cause once i saw a shark next to me and if it wasn't for a bout to past by and grab me i would of probably be dead right now, so i dint go to the beach at all so with experience i think all u could do is bear with them dint push them or make them or tease them about it Cause their already scared and that is something that would take time to get over of or to forget. and i think is the best thing to do also cause they consider u as a good friend and there is nothing better then having a your friends to have confidence and to feel good expressing them self with u.

Ask them, what Crocodile Hunter would think if due to him being killed you are afraid to go into the water. Don't you think he would want you to go into the water to remember him?

Let them know that the Crocodile Hunter was acting reckless, and in life when you act recklessly the reprecussions can be severe. That being said, as long as they act responsibly in all situations, they should have no fear.

Tell em Steve was adventurous and toyed with death but you are cautious and will not see harm come to them.

Hey don't get me wrong..I enjoyed Steve and what he did for TV but I think he pushed his luck a bit too much at times. Creatures of the wild needs to be observed from a safe distance.

That there are no sting rays in pools? That sting rays don't live in the beaches humans go to?

Come on, it doesn't take much imagination to explain things to your kids...
