If one asked about my vacation and salary and I gave them the information will I still be considered for the job. Most people say never discuss salary but they were concerned because of my experience and many years with one company.

Many articles on Monster.com and msn jobs deal with this. Most questions like this are trying to see what you think you're worth. So know what your industry pays ON AVERAGE, not just your previous job or jobs you know about. Use them for guidelines for your area though. Go into the interview with three numbers. The bare minimum you'd accept because you want the job/like the position a lot. A middle mark to start negotiations(start a bit higher so that you end in your middle mark) and your dream ammount( This should be somewhat realistic and any attempt at it should come with evidence of training, experience or ability that would make you deserving of this higher salary) The big point here is know what you are worth, know what kind of range the company most likely pays(asking someone who already works in that position for that company would give you a HUGE advantage)

Ask at the end of the interview...its a common thing to ask, and it will help you decide if you want the job or not.
