Did you have to change the locks and move his stuff out? How did that go down?

I'm trying to kick a rascal out of my apartment and it looks like it's going to get *ugly*.

We're working under Toronto roomate-roomate laws, so it's basically the wild west here.

I have but I put her out my house. it did get ugly but what I did was let her know in no uncertain terms that she had two weeks to come up with her half of the rent and if not, her things would be put outside and the locks changed. Of course she didn't so her things were put outside. She called the cops, they came and said I couldn't put her out without legally evicting her but she wasn't on my lease so it stuck and she had to go. She's still bumming places to stay last time I heard.

file for eviction in court then give your room mate the papers. Be safe, and if it starts to get verbal call the police and have them remove the person from the property. Then they can only come back to get there belongings with a police escort. If you throw there things out you can go to jail.

Stop paying the bills to save up money and just before they evict and turn off utilities move out and get your own place. Leave them holding the bag.
