How do I delete my user account from the list of current users?

I have a user account on my computer, but I no longer wish to keep it. Can someone instruct me how to delete my participation in this feature?

start > control panel > user accounts
Just make sure the account you are using has admin rights and is not the one you want to delete

Open Control Panel and click User Accounts. Click on the account you want to delete, and choose the Delete option from the menu.
