ahhh i love that song!! I think it's actually called 'birdhouse in your soul' and the chorus goes 'not to put too finer point on it, say i'm the only bee in your bonnet...make a little bird house in your soul, while your at it...'
It's by They Might Be Giants, you can get all the words off lyrics.net or similar.
Thanks for reminding me of a top tune - I've got some good teenage memories attached to that!

That's so funny, I was looking for this song also.
I just recently found the name of that song. I dont remember where i originally heard it, but I finally got the title when they showed the video on VH1 classics.
The only line I had was "I'm the only bee in your bonnet"
