If you play people that are a lot worse at the game than you are, you'll win 'easily'. But what's the fun of that?

The fun in chess is learning about the game, and how to play it well.

You learn by losing a lot of games. You don't learn a lot when you win. It's only by losing, and figuring out WHY you lost, that you learn something. Beating up on players that are a lot worse than you is just a waste of time. and you'll certainly never get better that way.

Winning comes easier when you LEARN how to really play the game... unfortunately, the only way to really learn is to lose a lot, and learn from your mistakes.

Of course, your question was, how do you win easily? The answer is, play against people who are even worse than you are, or play against Chessmaster opponents who's rating is less than 100.

Vampy had it close. Im sure it could be done in five but i do it in four. It works as long as your opponet doenst make one of the few moves that can save him/her. KIngs pawn up. Bishop out four. Queen out three. Queen all the way down the board for the check mate. They cant capture your Queen because the bishop should have her guarded unless they saved themselves.

But the game is a challenge and it should be enjoyed as such in my opinion, but dont get me wrong I still try the four move trick when I get an urge to show some dominance. But I also enjoy a good couple hour game every now and then as long as I win.

Other than that practice makes perfect or as close as one can get in chess.

If you want to win chess easily then study very-very hard with it.

You have to read books and replay games through chess boards. Get books like Basic Chess Endings and also games of Grandmasters such as Michail Botvinnik. Read particulary from Botvinnik. If you read his history, the famous 3 Ks came and studied to his school and became famous World Champion!!!

You should get his famous "100 Selected Games" and replay all his games REPEATEDLY and instill on your mind his games and comments.

The more harder you study at this field the more successful results you will gain from your opponents...

Go to the public library and check out books on the famous chess players and their four and five move games. Practice and pretty soon you'll have it down pat. It doesn't take a 10 yr old boy long to figure that out, I know...

If I remeber correctly there is a strategy to win in 5 moves, but you opponent must react exaclty the the correct way to each move or you will lose very quickly

Play easy opponents. If you want to get better and take on better opponents, it won't be easy. Accept the challenge.

Simple, just play someone who is a complete idiot, and never played the game before.
