I think it is because it could be useful for school and everything. We have a really nice desktop though that is only 2 years old so I'm not sure if my mom would go for the laptop thing. But, I think it would be so much more convenient.
Good thing for a xmas present?

They usually have deals around christmas time, you can probably pick one up for around $500.00 and a wireless router for under $100.00

IT depends on your age. If you have dreams of bringing it to school with you and surfing the net at all hours of the day and night, probably not a good idea. A good age for a laptop would be 14-15 if you really need it, but my guess is you just want it so you can talk to your friends and surf in private.

It can be useful to u but remember having a laptop is like having a pet.U mill have to be really careful and alert mhile operating on it.PC's can be easily fixed but laptop can't once it gets messed up.But i will suggest u should ask for it only if u REALLY NEED it.If u can do without it , then carry on with ur PC.

GoodLuck!

Just keep in mind that they cost between $800 - $1,500 on average. If your family has that kind of money, it's a possibility on receiving it, but don't expect to receive anything else. If it is something you really want, maybe you should save up your own money to buy.

If your parents have that kind of money.. a decent laptop would cost about $1500-2000.

It depends on how much your mother usually spends on you at Christmas. They aren't cheap! I wouldn't buy one for my children if we already had one in the house that was in good working condition.

If your parents can afford it, OK. If they can't, (and you should know that ) your asking for something they can't give you will only serve to make them feel sad and inadequate. So you can answer this question yourself.
