Depends on how you think they'll react I suppose... and how you were raised.
I was brought up that honesty is the best policy. So, when I was suddenly pregnant, and not married by the way, I told them after I found out... I was two months pregnant when I told them with the first child. When I was suddenly pregnant with my second child I waited until I was three months pregnant... just long enough to get out of that "scary" period.
Of course I went to my parents with the man who was involved in the situation and we managed to sit down and have a reasonable talk about it.
If you think your parents are going to be upset if you don't tell them right away.. then tell them right away. If you know they're going to be upset... well, delaying the inevitable isn't always the best choice -- it often leads to more anger and conflict that you, as a pregnant women, don't need.

When i found out i was pregnant i was only 17 I had no idea how to tell my parents so I went to a friend and she when with my to tell them and she started out the conversation like this... Something wonderful has happened just at the wrong time. because yes the time was off but still the miracle of life is a beautiful thing and wonderful and no matter if you are single, or married, young or old it should always be a celebrated thing!

There is no such thing as 'suddenly becoming pregnant'. If you actually think are mature enough to have consensual sex, you should be ready for the eventuality of pregnancy.
If you are still living at home and are pregnant, you are morally obliged to tell your caregivers. They've obviously been through it (at least once) and can give you some advice.
You also have to tell the father. Its only right.

You should tell them as early as possible and just be straight with them. Tell them face to face and if your still with the father have him there for support if you think that it would help the situation any. Don't do it in a letter or over the phone unless you live far away then you can do it over the phone. They might be upset(depending on your age) but they will get over it. I've been through it so I know. Do it very soon and in person if you can,
good luck.

How do you get pregnant suddenly without planning to?!
If you are underage, plz don't do it!
If you are an adult you tell them when you feel comfortable enough to.
I didn't tell my parents I was pregnant with my daughter until I was 4 1/2mo pregnant, but I was 20 when I got pregnant.

I told my mom when she had a lot of friends over. That way she couldnt yell and scream at me. It was a good way for me to have it out in the open but not get flipped out on!! Maybe just get them a card or something and put whatever you think would sound good. Then you cant see their reaction right away assuming thats what your worried about!! Good Luck!

well if you are not ready to have a child but you are having sex first you and your partner need to make sure that it doesnt happen. that's the first step USE PROTECTION! both you and your partner need to use them if you are havng sex. its not just your responsibilty or his, the both of you are doing it so both of you should take the actions you need to prevent it.
however if you do get pregnant, then of course you should tell your parents. i dont know how liberal your parents are, but either way they will find out.
i think you and your boyfriend should tell your parents together...then do the same for his parents. neither one of you should have to tell your parents alone. Good Luck!

I told my parents thru a letter lol, (I was going on to 4months) i guess you can say i was scared to death for them to find out, i didnt know how they were going to react. I was 17 when i found out and i didnt know what to do but just be honest with them. I agree with that other person who said to tell your mate first and then tell your parents. Thats basically what i did....it was really hard but you have to do it.
