Don't use hints, guys are too slow to catch on. Really, they are. Ask if he'd like to go with you; if he says no, say "alright, but you're the one missing out!" and walk away. But of course, he's 1. Not going to say No
2. The small chance he does, you walk away, he'll find you later and change his mind

Don't give any hints..hist be soo casual and ask him casually if he has a date for the dance if he said no..offer him to go with u and tell him it's ok if he has other plans..no biggy..good luck

just be blunt and ask him guys are like that i mean you can do the whole flirty thing and look to see if he is into you just a little.... but i have always went up to them and asked them.....you'll flatter him and he wont know how to react good luck.....have a goos time at that dance

Just ask him yourself, thats the best thing to do and the worst he could say is no. Just casually ask if he has anyone to go with then when he says no just say "well, since neither of us have dates, maybe we could go together."
