No, it is a very good movie. However, the first half is unneccessary, yet very entertaining.

The answer is both yes and no. Many people will be upset by the blood and gore in 2nd half of movie. The initial scene when the guy's achilles tendon is cut got a hearable reaction in the theatre. However it is all sped up a bit to keep the R rating. I thought it pushed the limits very well but I know others who thought Saw was more disturbing.

I saw Hostel and I first thought it was disturbing. But instead it turned out to have a strong storyline. In fact it did so well at the box office that a sequel is coming out in Janauary. The movie had more emphasis on the charactors than blood.

This is a very good movie, however i wouldn't quite put it down to being Tarantino's, as all he really did was to help with the scenery and a bit of gore. I love Tarantino's material, however this time i take my hat off to Eli Roth who was made a big improvement since Cabin Fever.

Quentin Tarantino= blood. A good movie if you don't want to think to much, slightly disturbing when you think about how many people go missing each year.

Actually I thought it was pretty silly. Same with Wolf Creek. Maybe I've just outgrown slasher flicks. Neither bothered me in the least. Are they both disturbing because they are "based on" actual events? Frankly I find news headlines much more disconcerting than fictional movies.

I watched it two nights ago. I was really looking forward to it as I love Tarrantino.....
What a heap of H S. Seriously I was so let down. I got to the end of the film and thought...'is that it' Really disapointed. Gutted that we paid £15 for it too.

Not sure about disturbing, but a very good horror film. It had me looking over my shoulder for a few days! LOL!

i certainly found it a bit gruesome the drill through the knee cap and all that stuff the worst bit about the whole film is it wouldn't surprise me if there are places like that in eastern Europe because life is cheep in those countries

The movie was horrible. No plot, just gore. In fact, it wasn't even disturbing. Well, I guess it was disturbing in that it was so bad!
