i need to do some research into the roles of: transport providers, accommodation providers, tour operators and travel agents. i need to know what they do in terms of a package holiday. im not just looking for simple answers i need proper detailed answers because its for my college course so any help would be appreciated thanks. :)

I took a photographic tour in Alaska last month, so this is still fresh for me.
In my case, the tour operator coordinated and paid for all the travel, lodging, meals and fees in Alaska. It had a van at the airport to pick me up and someone to handle my luggage. The same van/driver took the group from location to location. The company arranged for nice hotels/lodges every place we were and all meals were included. Also included were entry fees to parks. One day included a boat excursion, and that was completely paid for, including meals. Finally, since it was a photographic tour, a professional photographer was always available, giving advice and encouragement.
Everything was done first-rate on this trip, including the lodging, meals, transportation and the photographer. It was an excellent experience.
