I've recently said enough is enough and have deleted WWE shows from my DVR, so I'm not recording them and watching later. I was seriously disappointed with SummerSlam and with a particular wrestler's failed drug test. I am disillusioned and not very hopeful for the winter story lines. Deja Vu anyone? So I'm going kind of cold turkey, not watching wrestling.... and just following the news on the web.

My question to you wrestling freaks out there who watch the shows week after week..... (I was one of you!) When will you say enough is enough already and spend your t.v. viewing time elsewhere? What will be the straw that breaks the camel's back and turns you away from sports entertainment?

Let's not get pissy please. This question isn't meant to insult anyone.... yeah I know no one is forcing me to watch (been a dedicated fan for more than 20 years now), but my question focuses on why watch at all now?

Nearly all great answers! I'm going to leave this up for the full 3 days and see what I get. I'm going to have a hard time choosing... I may have to take a bribe... no wait! That's point fixing.... my bad.

You rock girl. anytime i see your answer for any question i love your response. its gotten where i look for your answers because its about what i think.

Its gotten where i watch it occasionally, but i wont make a deal of it. if im home so be it, I'll watch.
I've just been a fan for too long to just go cold turkey. I can usually find at least 4 mins of redemption in a crap show.

But i do think wrestling is at its lowest point since it was televised. Anyone that can remember the mid-to-late 90's that was the glory days is really dissapointed in what theyre trying to pass off.

For example, my cable company offers a free match or two off the WWE 24/7 tv channel. I caught a intercontinental match from 96 of the gladiator Farooq vs "wildman" marc mero. Doesnt sound good on paper. but that match was better than anything i've seen on t.v in months. the moves were great, the commentary was more relevent and less role playing.

My problem is everytime i think im going to give up because of all the talentless losers getting pushed and great wrestlers being ignored, they do something to keep a bit of my curiosity. When i get fed up with champs like Rey or Cena, they find a way to sneak a Booker, or an Edge, or Kurt or someone who actually puts out effort and has been underutilized.

I would turn off the tv. but i dont see the point. for every smart long term fan that gives up, theyre at least 3 13yr old girls to step up and buy john cena shirts...sigh.

I get my fix by downloading ROH matches, or Watching TNA Impact. They are more focused on the WRESTLING than the storylines, like WWE is. WWE hires big guys that can barely move, so as to be these "Monsters" in the ring, but really theyre not as much fun to watch as a 5'10 180lb (rough estimate) Chris Sabin flying around the ring doing stalling dropkicks and such. Or watching the ROH champ "The American Dragon" Bryan Danielson put on a true exhibition of wrestling that combines all styles, old school, submission, and playing to the crowd VERY well. Ive been a wrestling fan since i was lil, but now im training to be a wrestler. Believe me, WWE is where you go for Story ideas, NOT for wrestling. ROH or TNA is your best bet.

Hey, im from the UK. I wanted to watch Raw really badly some weeks back. It comes up at 2am, but i wasnt allowed to watch it because school would be on for me the next day. So what happend was that my mother recorded it for me. But than the next day when i watched it, it turned out it wasnt worth it. So i just watch the non late night repeats and i havent watched a full episode of Monday Night Raw with any interest for a couple of weeks! I really understand you. Trust me. It is not worth it buying the pay per views. Unforgiven is free over here in the UK so yes i am taking advantage of it and i will watch the repeat. But the only and last pay per view i ever bought was WM22 and that was quite worth it because of the extreme good entertainment. Now the writers are getting confused, mixed up and even more mentally challenged, they forget that the WWE has fans and that it has become faker than ever, yeah there is a limit to sports entertainment, it is okay, not entertaining, it is sport. Just sport. It doesnt entertain me a bit, if they could just make things look real, than it would be great.. SORRY FOR TYPING SO MUCH! I DONT WATCH IT PROPERLY RIGHT NOW, AND I DONT EVEN BOTHER RECORDING IT! I AM ONE OF YOU! WWE NEEDS HELP, URGENTLY!

First of all we need to know that there is no any kind of arrangement for testing drugs before the match begin between 2 wrestler.(specially in WWE). It's also true that there are few wrestler who takind drugs in order to win their matches. But no all wrestler do this.

I myslef learning wreslting & i know how much pain we suffer in order to entairnet the ppl. We work really hard day after day & year after year. But it's a hard truth that some of wrestler taking drugs & polute this business. It's also true that some of the matches are fixed among the wrestler (that means they already decided who is going to win & who is going to loose...for that winner one give a said amount to the looser one). But not all wrestler do this.

Look in this world in each & every filed there are some bad fact & good fact too. So just forget & start watching again. I would recommend you to watch TNA rather than WWE. WWE is good but TNA is best.

Be happy.

For me, the only reason i even watch wwe (and i only watch raw) is for Kane. After Kane leaves then it'll just fade away. I dont waste my money on the ppv when i can just download them and watch them for free after it happens. TNA is my alternative because they have more of the stars i like. Raven, Rhyno, Christian, Abyss, AJ Styles and The Fallen Angel. Anyone can say that TNA sucks or whatever. I dont care. If i spent time caring what other people thought about what I watch, it would just be a waste of my time. TNA also has more in ring action as well, which is another reason. So when will enough be enough, January or Feburary of next year.

I too have been an avid follower for 20+ years.

I quit watching the current product right after Eddie Guerrero died. But looong before that I was totally burned out on the Evil Foursome of Vince, Stephanie, Shane, and HHHunter McMahon.

I still have thousands of older matches to fall back on until things get interesting again.
