Only if you are going to enroll in a vocational school or the military!! What you are telling everyone is that school isn't exciting for you and you are wasting everyone time including your own.
If you stay in school. will you get passing grades and earn a diploma? If the answer is yes, be bored for another year. If the answer is no, and i think it is, you need to make another plan to GED your GED or some vocational training.
You can't live with your mom for the rest of your life and you can't support a family working at MC Donald's or 7-11.
Think about the future. Is everyone else going to support you or are you going to support yourself.
High school graduates make 35% more money that drop outs.

I just saw an article that pointed out that High School dropouts only make 65% of the wages that High School graduates make. And it is well known that college graduates make more than high school graduates.
What I want you to do is stop whining about how unmotivated you are and start taking responsibility for your life. If you aren't motivated by school -- what makes you think that work will motivate you. It isn't too late to make something of your life. But in a few years, it might me.

Talk to your schools counselor. They will find a way to help. It is no fun for a young person to be bored and I feel very sure they will understand and know how to turn things around for you. Please do no drop out! It is very difficult to get work without a diploma, no mater how bright you are. For the record being bored can be a good thing. It means you have no serious medical issues, money problems, bills to pay. These are all issues you will have to face some day and you will look back and say," I wish I was bored again".

STAY THE COURSE
If you drop out of high school you will be shutting so many opportunities out of your future. You need at the very least a high school education to get even the meanest of jobs.
And for the not learning anything? Your lack of motivation is the problem there. It is virtually impossible for a teacher to help you to learn if you are apathetic to the point of being unreachable. Find ways to make you want to come to school. Sports, teams, clubs, bands, stuff like that. Make friends that you want to hang around with between classes. If your school doesn't have a club that you would want to be a part of, get some like minded folk and a teacher to help, and make it yourself!!
Remember the adage: you only get out what you put in. If you don't even try in your studies, of course you will not get anything back.
DO NOT PUSS OUT, YOU WILL REGRET IT LATER THAT I GUARANTEE

well, many people have dropped out, and some have gone on to do great things and some have just sank into the mud of life. If its not for you, then take a year off, make sure you do something worthwhile not stay at home and play video games and work at mcdonalds. Id have to say that having done the four years and graduate with a degree is always better than not doing it, it looks better.

Awww.......no way dude! If anything, youre absolutely normal.....it happens to everybody at some point in time.....you havent lost the ability to learn, your sub-concious is off somewhere else and you can't control it, if anything, go get tested for ADD or ADHD, and they'll perscribe you something to stay focused and you'll absorb everything like a sponge. It works wonders, my husband was diagnosed w/ ADHD in Highschool and was put on Adderal, which he still takes today and it works wonders. I for one had the parent that said I had no problems and was lazy so I just had to deal w/ the struggle but ginseng for focus and memory and caffinated green tea helped me out and worked wonders as well, try shakin' up your diet some too it can help!

When I was 17 I wanted to drop out. I was to told if you quit school you get a job. So I did. Several years later I met a terrific friend who was younger but wiser than I. She begged me to go to job corps with her so that we could get our GED and learn a skill. I tell you it was the best experience of my life and I will never forget it. In a year, I got my GED and made my mom very proud of me by graduating from the program with a certificate in Business Clerical. I'm now working as a receptionist in a successful real estate office and I will be promoted with in a year.
So, if you do decide to drop out of school do something positive and continue learning all the time!

Be bored, but graduate. Life is tough if you can't read. Even if you can read, society thinks you can't due to you not having atleast a H.S. diploma. Don't quit anything that free or given to you, because after high school everything comes out of your pocket. Take advantage of this opportunity to enjoy your last years of freedom.....it doesn't get any easier especially if you don't know anything.

I suggest you speak to some adults in your life about this problem. I left school when I was 15 and I regret it now that I'm 24 and I struggle to do some things in my life now that I really want to do but cant coz Id have to go back to school. Life would be much easier for me if I had stayed at school the first time round...

Talk with your guidance counselor and your parents. It might be that you're not being challenged enough and you need the opportunity to learn more interesting, more challenging subject matter.
It is NOT a good idea to forgo getting a high school diploma.
Why not challenge YOURSELF to find something interesting at school instead of waiting for someone else to make it interesting for you?
