I no longer believe it's gender based. Not in today's world - in past generations men were taught that showing emotion or being sensitive were traits that showed weakness and those traits were associated more with women.

People are individuals first; how sensitive or insensitive a person is depends entirely on that individual. What qualities, traits, etc. they possess are not necessarily determined by gender.

So I guess it would be fair to say 50/50 men and women.

I'd say its the guys fault mostly. I think women are guilty of being too emotional which leads to massive insensitivity on the part of men.

Seems like guys are more insensitive, but I have heard some girls say some very outrageous things about others. Totally shocked me how spiteful they can be. Even used the "C" word.

women are more soft, i agree. but it doesnt show that men are insensitive.

i personally knowa lot of nice men and boys. but most of them just act to be tough. & even i try very hard not to show emotions.
