anyone heard of actuarial sciences? or in french:"mathematiques actuarielles"? its smth related to math and business too plz i need help very soon

That's what I do. i just started a few months ago, but I could give you a reasonable impression of what I do.

I work with reserves, which is the amount of money we need to set aside for future insurance losses. It involved a lot of spreadsheet work. The career is lucrative, challenging, and a whole lot of Math!

There are about 9 exams you will need to take to become a Fellow in your field as an Actuary. Check out the following links for the exam information and beanactuary.com in particular to see if it's right for you!

The future is full of uncertainty. Some of the events that can happen are undesirable. "Risk" is the possibility that an undesirable event will occur. Actuaries are experts in:

evaluating the likelihood of future events,
designing creative ways to reduce the likelihood of undesirable events,
decreasing the impact of undesirable events that do occur.

This is a high paying job for the math minded.

From what little I know, they are folks who quantify risk based on various factors for insurance companies.

ie. if you want life insurance they do a whole questionnaire/medical screening and based on what they find charge you different rates based on your health risk.
