Every episode no matter where the kids are...poolside, beach, whatever...they always have red plastic cups and hold on to them like it's a mixed drink or something. Is MTV showing underaged rich kids drinking?

From experiance, I would have to say yes, that is exactly what they are promoting. Red plastic cups are a trademark for alcohol. Expecially for teens who are drinking. Last season they showed the cast members in Mexico at the clubs and drinking and acting crazy, so they are saying that underage drinking is ok. Even though drinking in Mexico is legal, the still promote it.
Even with certain law issues at hand for MTV promoting it, i believe that they still are. MTV is documenting real lives, even though it is tv. There are certain ways MTV can get around not "technically" knowing that it is alcohol, but it really is. But who really knows? Only the cast memebers and the crew.

It's probably sprite, ginger ale or water or soda something beyond those lines, there won't be in underaged drinking because if that were to happen MTV would be in heap of trouble and they would have a big scandel on their hands.

It is alcohol...Thats why it is "hidden" with the red cups! Watch a scene from the older Laguna and tell me by the end of one of the partys some of the girls i.e. Kristin are acting a liitle loud and rowdy?

I agree, I think it's alcohol. Since the show is taped in cali i think ABC should investigate. The show is promoting under age drinking and it should be stopped.

maybe. or they might just be trying to seem more grown up. i hope mtv wouldn't let them drink alcohol on camera. i think they could get in trouble.
