A little girl doing homework in a red sweater & she says that America has more oil than the middle east ( I caught the tail end of it, so I am not sure that is correct) but is this true, she said enough for 250 years. It was just on CNN between segments. If it is true what are we doing with the prices of energy.

News from Texas - first off I have seen gas as low as $2.29 at a corner market but most of the chain stations are holding at $2.39 a gallon. An oil deposit - considered larger than Alaska has just been discovered within the past two weeks in the Gulf of Mexico.

we Can get oil from Mexico also .. they are jacking up the prices so we can foot the bill for the war ... I noticed hear in Vegas that since school started gas prices have dropped 20 cents a gallon I believe they had the prices up over the summer because they know people travel... it's sad they take money which ever way they can and instead of using it here in the United states to better our cities they either pocket it or use it on this war that seems like it will never end

I haven't seen the comercial but I beleive that is true but they have to make gas prices higher because, well think about it 250 with a quickly growing population of people, it will probelly end up being like 150 years or less, and the gas prices have dropped quite a bit, here in cincinnati they have dropped almost a dollar, were down to 2.15 in some spot where as we were at 3.10 at one point

I haven't seen the commercial yet. There is a lot of oil in Alaska but the environmental group block all the attempts to drill. I think that we need to set up more of the wind generators and then everybody can switch over to electric. Then they can start making better electric cars. Then everybody we buy gas from can just eat it. Gas isn't going to last forever.

USA has a lot of oil in Alaska, however, a majority of it is not able to be mined because it would damage the environment of the state, or it is just unaccessable for one reason or another (frozen land, ice)
