What should i get PS3 or xbox360?

Question

Every few years a new system always comes out and now 360 and ps3. I like ps3 because of the blue ray dvd player and i already know that ps3 will hav alot ofgood games. but if 360 still has the best online play and sport titles go perfect with it. i dont know what to get. the 360 also will have halo 3 coming out which is one of the hottest shooters ever. rite now i feel like getting both at the same time..lol but im not trying spend it all my money on games. what do think? whats your pros and cons? i say ps3 rite only b/c the blue ray or 360 beause i know its good already...

well my friend....the ps3 according to specs promises to have a better system and graphics and video and that type of specs....the ps3 has alot of popualr favourite games coming out like gta, finalfantasy, resi evil, metal gear solid, assassins creed, and thats just to name a few....and they got loads of sports and shooters....and why not give it a try....maybe trying a new shooter will blow ur mind or having blue ray, stronger system, cool digital controllers, more rpg's, and simulation games....more adventure games.....need for speed is another one...lots of war games....i mean i dont see how u can go wrong with ps3....and all the titles that will be coming out n top of the ones that r already announced...in my opinion....ps3 is a much better choice...unless u want xbox for halo 3 and thats it pretty much.....but good luck deciding

Well the first Xbox was a big dissapointment compared to the PS2, I had both. it missed out on the Jak & Daxter series, the Tekken series, the WWE Smackdown! series, the Ratchet & Clank series & many, MANY others. Playstation definitely has the better exclusive games. When I go into a video store I see about 3 times as many PS2 games as I do Xbox games. Xbox seems to be more about the first person RPG stuff, so if thats what you like.... I personally think PS3 is gonna be much, much better than the X360.

I've had an X360 for a couple of months & I've had a lot of problems with it, I've found out that all of them have an overheating problem & sometimes you have to wait a full day before some things will work properly.

I'm getting a PS3 & I will give love to both of my machines. But if your only gonna get one, definitely get the PS3.
why?:

1) It is much more likely that a PS3 exclusive game will come out that you will desperately want to play than an X360 exclusive game

2) It WILL be better for your money because the PS3 will be trying to compete(somewhat) with the X360's price

3) Blue ray biaaitch!

4) & of course, the PS3 has had much more time to be developed. & if 5 years is the difference between a PS2 & a PS3, & nearly 1 year is the difference between the PS3 & the X360, what does that tell you?

Honestly, I would choose Xbox 360, Its less expensive. You can purchase additions to it piece by piece like hard drive, hd dvd player etc. Graphics wont be as good as Sony's PS3 but I feel they wont be too different. Titles being developed for PS3 are also being cross developed for 360 titles like resident evil etc. XBox Live does cost where as PS3's on-line gaming community will be free but.... for a price, you get a well established on-line gaming community with far more members than Sony has. To me thats well worth the 50 bones a year. I used to be a hard core PS3 fan but buy and play the 360 and put the 200.00 or so you save back in the bank. 360 Rocks!

$700.00 for a PS3. I don't think so. And, the system may be top of the line, but Sony has no proprietary games to be that excited about. And their on-line gaming has always been 3rd class. I have the 360 and I'll be getting Wii when it comes out and I'll still spend less than the PS3. PS3 is dead in the water. Don't waste your money.

you have no idea what u guys r talkin about. the only thing ps3 has on the 360 is a bluray disc player but microsoft will probably come out with that later, if ur an online gamer and love playing games get the 360. and quit sayin the PS3 is faster than the 360 becuz it's NOT. it tells you on http://ps3.ign.com/articles/614/614783p1.html

it seems like u hav the paper 2 buy any of the system so heres my opinion...buy the ps3...why?...the graphics...the games(i know theres alot of good games on the 360,but believe me man,theres goin to be more of these good games on the ps3.for all we know,ninja gaiden 2 is goin 2 be on the ps3 cuz theres no confirmation that its goin to be on the 360)...and the ps3 is also goin to be havin online play and alot of good sports titles to go along with it...and about halo 3,come on..personally ithink Killzone ps3,Resistance Fall of Man looks and hears alot better than halo 3.and by the way,half life 2 is goin to be on the ps3 with the best graphics..and the last reason is like u said the,high definition bluray disc(the ps3 supports normal dvd if u couldnt afford a blu ray cuz u know,the blu ray games are pretty over the roof expensive)....and lastly,sony work on the ps3 longer than any other consoles and 4 me,all of the reasons above are good enough to go and own a PS3......p.s the choice is really yours.im just givin my way of view....

If you like sports go with Xbox 360, but PS3 will have some great games like Devil may cry, Resident Evil, and Metal Gear Solid. But like you said PS3 is going to have blue ray.

It is really up to you but I am getting a PS3.
