I'm gonna have to be different from everyone else and say LL Cool J. There are several reasons why I feel this way. He is one of the few rappers that hasn't been caught up in the news for drugs, or cheating, or anything for that matter. He keeps his music clean and I love him, lol!!!

KRS-1 or Common because they aren't afraid to tackle social issues or politics. Lauryn Hill was definitely the most positive female rapper. The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill was biting in it's commentary but also very hopeful for humankind. Queen Latifah had some positive rhymes back in the day. Remember the song U.N.I.T.Y? Damian Marley's last CD "Welcome To Jamrock" was VERY positive. It was all about getting rid of spiritual trash and uplifting yourself and recognizing your worth while helping your brothers and sisters.
Positive rappers DO exist.

Mike Shinoda from Linkin Park because his lyrics are about everyday life like struggle and belief and he doesn't swear in them, unlike theses 50 cent style rappers.

I like Will Smith, he was quoted in a magazine that he will not sing a song that his kids can not listen to. I think that is great and he is a wonderful family man/father.

i know most of ya wont agree but i think eminen is a positive rapper. hes lyrics may not be G rated but he speak da truth bout life. eminen n 50 cents and alot of other rappers have showed us how hard life is. and yea dey were into drugs n sold it like most of us do to get tru life now in days but dey also showed us dat dats not da way to go. yea dey it but look at were dey are now.dey went from thugs in da streets to da top of da charts. but den again this is just my opinion. well all have different ways of seeing things and dis is my opinion od this question. but ders a difference between will smith and enimen. i see alot of ppl say will smith hes a good family man n wont sing somethin hes kids caint listen to yea but wat hes doin is hiding hes kids from da truth. da world isnt a happy place. isnt a safe place. so why make ur kids think dat da world is a positive, fun and violent free place. u do this ur only hurtin dem cuz wen dey go out to da real world its gonna hit dem n hit dem hard cuz dey wont really for life. dey wont ready for da REAL world.
