Check first the brand and type from the hardware (e.g. sound card) Right Mouse button click on My Computer/Properties (left) Hardware/Device Manager When you find /see a quotation mark(s) then click (right) on it delete this hardware (sound card) or reinstall driver. When you don’t have the right driver be sure of the brand and type (when no idea you must open the PC) then type “brand model driver) in the search engine from yahoo or Google. download the driver. Click again on your hardware (see above) then reinstall driver and choose make your choice. Remember there are no quotations marks allowed in the device manager, remove or reinstall the driver. After removing the hardware restart (always when possible reboot by choosing start/turn off computer/restart never by using the on/off button from the PC/laptop

Right click it and select Uninstall. Then reboot and see if that fixes it. If not, try downloading updated drivers from the manufacturer's website...sometimes they come with an install package.

maybe the best way is to find the manual included on your pc when you bought it, in the manual, you can find the name of your pc parts and you can download the drivers on the internet

If nothing else works , format your HD and reinstall windows. Look for windows reinstallation question in the blog
