how do i get ri d of the similar questions detail?

when i type in certain things the computer comes up with a whole list of similar suggestions and i find this highly irrelevant and annoying and surely it is a wasste of computer power;how do i get rid of it?

It is only a suggestion to save you time! There have been tens of thousands of questions asked and answered by now! In fact as was said above the whole purpose of this site is to help you answer a question, not test our ability to write it all over a second, third or hundredth time. Many others might of had the exact thought as you! As you progress with your question you will see the questions narrow down. Perhaps go away by themselves! If at the end of your completed question something remains, then virtually the identical question has already been answered before on prior occasions.
All you need to do is do a advance search of the subject in quotes and the answers will come up!

Just ignore it - but you can't get rid of it.

But DON'T ignore it, because the whole point of it is so you don't annoy the rest of us with questions that have been asked a thousand times. Sometimes you'll find just what you need by actually clicking on a similar question.

If you are talking about using help in XP only thing I can think of is define your question better, but 75% this doesn't help me. There might be terms to stay away from because they will produce the most hits, but don't know any off hand. Most of the time I'm happy to get anything to come up.
