I need to upgrade my MySpace page to a music account so I can add the band music web player. Everytime I try to upgrade my account it askes a number of questions like 'whats your email address'. When I submit the entry it says 'that email is already in use' and won't let me go any further. I only want to upgrade and know its already in use because its the email address I set the account up with. Its only so I can use the band music player to upload our songs and see how many plays its had. Any suggetions?

Umm...I'm pretty sure once you setup an account as personal, you can't change it to a music page. And myspace will not allow you to setup 2 accounts on 1 email address.
My suggestion? Setup a new Yahoo email account and use that to setup your band page. You will probably have to wait a week or so after you activate your email ...per myspace rules.

I ran into a similar problem...You have to create a whole separate account. Since I have two email addresses I put my regular account on one and the music page on the other...its a pain in the ***, but its the only way.

I ran into a similar problem myself a while ago. Unforunately for you, I imagine, my only recourse was to delete my existing account entirely, wait for the system to thoroughly erase it (took about 24 hours) and then set up a completely new account as a band.
This wasn't a problem for me as I had only just set up the first account a couple days before deleting it and, as such, didn't lose much. If you have had your exising account for a while this may not be a terribly exciting option. I'd consider it a last resort.
