Obviously it sucks that Americans have to get caught in the crossfire, but I don't think we should feel guilty about the lack of WMD and the invasion in general.

If you think about it, the most terrifying thing the US could do in Iraq is pull out. They may not like us there, but they would really not like us "not there".

The traditionally Muslim countries have some big decisions ahead of them. Simply put, they never had anything like what Europe went through during the reformation. It remains to be seen if Islam can be made to be compatible with a modern liberal democracy. So far, the track record is not good.

If you look at our own history you see that sometimes it takes an inner struggle to find your way.
Our own Civil War, though long and bloody was necessary for our Countries ultimate healing.
We could have still been a Country of Inbreeds who justified Slavery but Righteousness won.
The same needs to happen in the Middle East. There are some who won't come out of the Dark Ages and those who have grown and evolved into human beings.
Our best goal is to get behind the progressive Muslims and help them eliminate the demons within their race.
We should have allied with the Northern Alliance in Afganistan during the Clinton Administration and 9-11 may have been prevented!

I feel guilty about nothing in regards to Iraq. We need to care about the civil war, because an internal struggle allows external forces to come in. The Iraqi's need to see themselves as a country first and a religion second if they have any chance to survive.

Unfortunately, the west has to care about Iraq's civil war because it keeps spilling over into our embassies, ships and large cities.

I think the 'west' should get out of the middle east. (i am not a muslim)

Its pretty pointless fighting with these delusional religious types.
Let the Sunnis and Shiites fight it out amongst themselves.

Good question "Why should the west care?" ... oil ?

'Cos it's because of them that this civil war started...They can not control Iraqis...Yes,Saddam was a dictator, but he controlled them and this would have never happen if he would still be in charge of Iraq...So ,since the US invasion started this war they should try to but an end to it(if they can)...
