Throughout my younger years I used to beg my parents to get divorced. Our household was full of verbal abuse and threats. My parents argued all the time, every day and I constantly got caught in the cross fire. However, they are still together almost 35 years later, My father now cares for my Mother 24/7 and although he still lacks patience, the love he shows in his devotion is an inspiration.

I would never allow myself to remain in a relationship with the same dynamic but I do appreciate that when two people connect and are willing to share their lives through to the bitter end, because they love, it is something to be commended...
