Was it expensive? What areas did you have done? Did it grow back or was it gone the first time. I am thinking about the procedure in the bikini area. I usually get a brazilian wax and I would like to just remove the hair permentantly.

I go to American Laser Centers and sometimes they have promotions where you get a discount. It seems like they use a lot of estimates so you do have a chance of lowering the price if you are good at negotiating.

The areas I chose are:

sideburns
neck/back of neck
underarm
upper arm
brazilian bikini

You need to have, at the very least, 6 sessions. The 1st session you will notice a lot of hair coming off and when it comes back, it will be more sparse -- kind of patchy. Then the next big results time is either the 3, 4, or 5th session (depending on how coarse your hairs are). American Laser Centers, after the 6 sessions, offers 2 years of maintenance. Which is great because I've had about 5 sessions, and while some of it is gone, it is not all gone.

It is NOT going to take 1 session. Any place that tells you that is a scam.

My total came to about $4500. I applied for Care Credit and you can pay about $150 a month and you don't get interest charges.

And it hurts. It feels like a hot rubber band snapping against your skin. And they should go over the area at least twice in one session. And you can only get it done every 6-8 weeks. But I think it's worth it.

Good luck!

Expensive...not sure. My sis-in-law works for a plastic surgeon so I get treatments for free. I have had my upper lip done. I have gotten two treatments and have very little grow back. I'm going to get one more treatment and that should leave me hair free. My sis-in-law has done her husbands back. He has had 4 treatments and only needs one more to be hair free.
I would highly recomend laser hair removal. If you can stand a Brazilian wax then you could stand the laser. At least with the laser after a few treatments you will never have to worry about waxing again. When it's all said and done the cost of the laser should be equal to (if not cheaper) than continuing the waxing.

I had IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) on my legs. IPL is one of the top treatments for both hair and spider vein (for very small veins)removal. It is like a lasar treatment- but uses light from the other end of the spectrum. It costs about $500 for a 1hr session in Massachusetts. I've had 3 or so treatments on both legs for my spider veins- and I still have hair- but noticably less of it. It stings when the light is applied, but the nurse who does it applies a cold gel on my skin to lessen the pain. It feels sort of like snapping a rubber band HARD against your skin. Over and over again. Some times my eyes water a little bit but it really isn't that bad. The results arent dramatic- and it is an expensive treatment. I am really happy with how well it has cleared up my spider veins though. And it is a good idea to take an ibuprophen before going, to reduce swelling and pain. There is no pain after the treatment though.

First - it injury like hell. yet i've got been given my bikini line and underarms completed, so as that they've been tender areas. it relatively is like $six hundred - $1200 U.S. entire according to section. It demands 5 - 6 remedies with 5 - 6 weeks in between each and each. it works frequently, yet you will would desire to have occasional touch united statesalways. I had meant to do maximum of my physique over the years, yet desperate it substitute into too costly and painful.
